About

I’m Debs! I’ve been writing/singing songs from Toronto, Ontario since February 2007 when I discovered February Album Writing Month. Those were the only songs I wrote that year and because of that, I felt I needed a push. I set myself a challenge: to write, record and share one song per week in 2008. Not only did that get me into the habit of writing regularly, but it also allowed me to experiment and experience the great joys of writing in multiple genres with many collaborators.

I own a keyboard, a guitar, a flute, a ukulele, and a bass, which find their way into my songs, but I am primarily a vocalist and love playing with harmony.

I enjoy writing more than producing, which is why you will find that most of the songs on this site are the demos, though songs that I have polished have found their way onto albums and into live performances.
